first_imgMad GAA fan Daniel O’Donnell has ensured he won’t miss his beloved Donegal when they play Tyrone in Ulster Championship this Sunday.Daniel and late mum Julia.Daniel will be holding an open air concert this Sunday as a fundraiser for Dungloe Community Hospital – his only concert during an 18 month break from touring. The concert is a thank you after the hospital cared for his mum Julia who passed away there last year. Unfortunately for many fans, including Daniel, the concert falls on the same day as Donegal take on Tyrone at MacCumhaill Park. But Daniel has come to the rescue by providing a large screen for fans to watch the game.Other artists joining Daniel on the day include Paul and Mary B, The Cufflinks, White Lines, Paul Kelly, David Craig, Gary Gamble, Seamus Mc Gee, Paul Mc Cahill, Hugh Mc Monagle, Shane Owens, Lee Matthews and Ann Biddy. The open air concert is being held at ‘The Cope Car Park’ on the Main Street in Dungloe, Co. Donegal. The show will start at 1pm with Daniel on stage from 3pm to 5pm. The committee organising the concert have hired 1500 seats that will be available on the day for sale at €5. It will be on a first come first serve basis so they urge those of you who want seats to get there early. As well as the concert there will be a children’s play area, craft stalls, food and drink. The proceeds from the concert will be going towards Dungloe Community Hospital where Daniel’s late mother Julia got such great care during her final days. The date in which the concert is being held is also tinged with sadness for Daniel and his family as it was on that day last year that their mother passed away. The committee members involved in the organising of this event are Patrick Boyle from the Bayview Bar, Dungloe and Thomas Costello.
