Higginbotham reveals why Pogba Rashford are excelling at Man Utd

first_imgFormer Manchester United defender Danny Higginbotham gave his verdict on Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford’s strong form.Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment as an interim coach at United, Pogba has managed six goals and five assists in nine appearances and produced another brilliant display to assist Rashford for the match-winner against Leicester City on Sunday.Meanwhile, Rashford himself has found the net six times since Solskjaer moved him into his preferred centre-forward role.“They’ve got their best players playing in their best positions and it’s proving hugely successful for them,” Higginbotham told Sky Sports.“Obviously, there are still question marks over the defensive side of the team, but they are scoring so many goals.“You’ve got Marcus Rashford playing in his favourite position through the middle and he is going from strength to strength. The run he is on at the moment is unbelievable.“And then there’s Paul Pogba. He’s now looking like the player that is one of the best midfielders in the world and he’s been given the freedom to go and express himself.”Nine wins and a draw have enabled United to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup and close the gap to the top-four in the Premier League table to just two points under Solskjaer.Higginbotham added: “You’ve got to give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer unbelievable credit. “Everything he touches turns to gold.Harry Maguire, Manchester UnitedLiverpool legend Nicol slams Harry Maguire’s Man United form Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Steve Nicol believes Harry Maguire has made some “horrendous mistakes” recently, and has failed to find his best form since joining Manchester United.“I’ve heard a number of people saying anybody could have gone in and done that. No, they couldn’t, I’m sorry but they couldn’t. It doesn’t work like that.“What he’s done is he’s gone in there and looked at the team. What you see with the top managers and we see it all around world football, play your best players in their best positions and build a team around them in order to get the best out of them.”As for whether the Red Devils can snatch a top-four spot, Higginbotham said: “I think so and that’s something we wouldn’t have said a couple of months ago.“You have to give Solskjaer great credit because United are now playing to their strengths.”Rashford was named United’s Player of the Month for his strong performances in January.Horn Hill ➡️ Castle Black ➡️ The Citadel ➡️ Winterfell ➡️ Manchester 🏆Thanks for coming all this way to present @MarcusRashford with his #MUFC POTM award, @JohnBradleyWest! 😁 pic.twitter.com/mWz6Uovznh— Manchester United (@ManUtd) February 7, 2019last_img read more

Tesla Model Y event 5 things Elon Musk needs to reveal

first_imgIt’s the morning of Tesla’s Model Y unveiling event (here’s how you can watch), and of course, we’re expecting to see a new electric crossover SUV from the company. That vehicle will surely be the star of the show, but given all the turmoil of late surrounding Tesla and its plans, this would be a mighty good time for Elon Musk and Co. to give some updates on a few other things. Namely…Tesla’s new, liquid-cooled Supercharger cable is actually thinner than the original.  Tesla That new fast chargerTesla has unveiled a new, 250-kilowatt fast-charger that, in optimal conditions, can deliver 75 miles of range in just five minutes. That is a major development for the EV community, as is Tesla’s promised new battery preconditioning routine that ensures the batteries in the company’s cars are at an ideal temperature to charge when they arrive. However, this is all still rather theoretical for most Tesla owners. Only one such V3 Supercharger can deliver that much current, and it’s in the company’s factory town of Fremont, CA. When might those of us in the rest of the world get a taste of that new, liquid-cooled juice? I hope we find out tonight. Confidence on retail strategyRetail is, like, super dead. Right? If you asked Elon Musk that question two weeks ago, you’d have received hearty encouragement. However, as of this week, the news is rather different. Just what exactly is Tesla’s master plan for selling cars? Some clarity here, and more importantly some confidence, would be awfully nice — not just for buyers and company investors, but for Tesla’s embattled employees, too. Update on autonomyTesla has offered Autopilot in its cars since 2014, and the “Full Self-Driving Capability” upgrade since 2016. Aside from various teasers and a limited release of Tesla’s next-gen Summon feature, enabling a car to find its own parking spot, we’ve not had any updates for awhile on just how the company’s research is going. Given the level of investment companies like Waymo and Cruise Automation have lobbed at their autonomy efforts, and given the sophistication of their sensor packages, I remain extremely skeptical that Tesla can deliver a comparably safe offering given the limited sensing power built into the company’s current cars. I am, however, quite happy to be proven wrong. semi-unveilHey guys, remember me?  Tesla Update on the SemiHey, remember that big, silver truck that Tesla unveiled at a showy event in 2017? The one with central seating and a 0-60 time quicker than my old Subaru WRX? The one that seemingly half the commercial fleet operators in the country signed on to buy a whole lot of? Yeah, we haven’t heard a lot about that big guy since.Model YLast but not least, Tesla should probably show off the Model Y, too. This, of course, will be a crossover-ified version of the Model 3, and I’m hopeful that’s all that it will be. When Tesla began creating an SUV out of the Model S, a process that seemingly should have been straightforward, the Model X project was hamstrung by the demand that it feature some rather distinctive doors. Those Falcon Doors proved to be an engineering and quality-control nightmare that cost a bundle. That bit of theatrical hubris set the Model X’s timeline back significantly. With any luck, the Model Y won’t be cursed with any such attempts at “innovation.” What Tesla really needs is a slightly taller, slightly roomier version of the Model 3, something that can tick the crossover SUV boxes without requiring a clean-sheet redesign. Years after its debut, the Model 3 is still radical enough in its approach and interface that pushing the envelope further is not only unnecessary, but risky. My only other hope is that the Model Y has a conventional hatchback. That tiny trunk opening on the Model 3 just won’t work in crossover land.  Tesla 6 Share your voice 2019 Tesla Model S Long Range review: Familiar, yet oh so much better More From Roadshow Tesla Model 3: The one you’ve been waiting forcenter_img Tags Elon Musk Tesla Comments Electric Cars SUVs Crossovers Tesla Model 3 Review: Performance trimlast_img read more

Game of Thrones fans convinced that Daenerys Drogon had dragon babies

first_imgGame of Thrones season 8 dragonGame of Thrones (@gameofthrones/Instagram)Game of Thrones season 8 episode 4 “The Last of Starks” featured the brutal death of Missandei and the terrible execution of Daenerys Targaryen’s second dragon, Rhaegal. Fans, however, are convinced that Daenerys’ Drogon had several dragon babies and they all will debut in the upcoming episode of Game of Thrones season 8.Daenerys Targaryen was full of rage and angst when she approached King’s Landing but was initially defeated by Euron Greyjoy who destroyed plenty of her ship and even shot down her another dragon. The powerful character is now at an incredible disadvantage and even we all know that she is not a very good war strategist as she was solely dependent on her Dothraki army and her dragons. More than half of her Dothraki clan is now dead and burned, whereas all that remain is one alive dragon, Drogon.Speaking of Drogon, fans on Reddit are convinced that there might be more dragons out there in the story which we are unaware of at this point. The user cited that it is possible that one of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragon laid eggs during a moment off the screen in a previous season. The theory directly points towards Drogon, who was absent in season five. It was around that time when Dany was trying her best to keep a tab on all of her dragons. As per the user, there is a possibility that Drogon is actually a female dragon, who laid eggs in secret and hide them in a faraway place. As per the fans on Reddit, Drogon hid her eggs in order to save them from the outside world. Now those dragons are finally grown up and they will join their mother in her fight against Cersei Lannister. Game of ThronesGame of Thrones Official Facebook”What made me rethink this theory was after I saw an EP5 promo where Euron Greyjoy looks up at the sky and hears a roar of himself. Hears that the grunt is very different and gets scared. Since he has seen the dragons for a long time he wouldn’t be scared for just a dragon, but what if there are more dragons?” Redditor wrote in his viral post.It should be noted that even Euron Greyjoy actor has teased the return of another dragon in one of his recent Instagram post. But are we really going to see more dragons in the upcoming episode of Game of Thrones? Well, we just have to wait for the next episode to air to find out more about Drogon and her possible dragon babies.last_img read more

Group Says Texas Electric Grid Would Survive Loss Of Two Coal Plants

first_img Share 00:00 /00:59 A new study says the Texas electric grid would still be reliable if two of the state’s coal plants shut down in the coming years. The study comes from a progressive advocacy group that calls some coal plants “old, inefficient and dirty.” Consulting firm Electric Power Engineers performed the study for the group Public Citizen. It looked at what would happen if Dallas company Luminant closed its Big Brown and Monticello plants by the year 2021. “If these big coal plants do retire, it’s not going to be a whole lot of the energy we rely upon,” says Public Citizen’s Texas Director Tom Smith. “But there are significant additional resources that will come in and fill the hole in the energy in East Texas.”Those resources would be new wind, solar and natural gas projects, but the study acknowledges this envisioned future depends on assumptions about when such projects come online. If those timelines change, the effect of shuttering coal plants could change.Luminant would not comment on the report. Nationwide, coal use for electricity has been dropping since 2008. President Trump has nonetheless promised to revitalize the industry, despite its competition with cheaper natural gas.
